Information you choose to send
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you include. We use it only to respond, keep an appropriate record of the conversation and meet any legal obligations. Please do not email sensitive health information.
Technical information
Our hosting provider may process routine request data, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver and secure the website. We do not currently offer visitor accounts or sell personal information.
Optional audience measurement
If you choose “Accept analytics”, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and interactions with the site. Google may process online identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location and the pages or events viewed. Analytics storage is denied by default, and the Google Analytics script is not loaded unless you consent. You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” button.
We use this information in aggregate to improve our stories and journal. We have disabled Google signals and advertising personalisation in our implementation. Google acts under its own privacy terms when it processes analytics data.
Your consent choice
We store your analytics preference in your browser's local storage so the site can remember it. This strictly necessary preference is not used for advertising.
External services
Links and audio may connect you to podcast platforms such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube or Amazon Music. Their own privacy terms apply when you use those services.
